Nantucket Basket Purses
Each a quintessential statement piece, these purses represent a modern take on the classic Nantucket Lightship Friendship Basket.
The Abigail
Unique and eye-catching 8" round Nantucket purse. Round is in, and The Abigail doesn't disappoint.
Materials: cherry bases, maple rims, cane weaver, bone pin and knobs, ebony leather braided shoulder strap.

Accents: classic pin clasp, and "Koru" symbol accent in black carved water buffalo horn.
The Prudence
Traditional 8" Oval Nantucket Friendship Basket. These were the absolute rage in the 1950's and the design stands the test of time.
Notable: As of 2024, I make all my materials in my workshop!
Materials: cherry bases, rims, handle, cane weaver, bone pin and knobs, sea turtle topper.
The Lauren
5" round purse in contrast "black and white", dresses up or down, and holds just a few items. Very chic.
Materials: ebony bases, maple rims, cane weaver, ebony pin and knobs, ebony leather shoulder strap.
Accents: classic pin clasp, simple bone plugs (carving may be applied).
The Mother Daughter
Matched oval traditional friendship baskets.
The larger is woven on an 8" oval mold, and the smaller on a 6.75" "cocktail size" mold.
Materials: cherry bases, cherry rims, cherry handles, cane weaver, bone pin and knobs.
Accents: scallop shells, classic pin clasps with spiral macrame tie, and classic loop hinges.
The Elizabeth
Eye-catching trim oval shoulder purse in rich rosewood and oak. Measures appx 7" x 5" x 3".
Materials: rosewood bases, oak staves and rims, cane weaver, bone knobs, cherry leather braided shoulder strap and closure.
Accents: my grandmother's rose pin in ivory, spiral weaving pattern, magnetic closure
The Annie
Specialty creel shaped purse in classic cherry. Measures appx 9" x 7" x 4". This shape is a tricky project as staves have to be tapered on both ends, and requires a specialized mold that disassembles like a puzzle.
Materials: cherry base and lid, cherry rims, cherry staves, cane weaver, bone knobs and plugs, ebony leather stitched shoulder strap, hinges, and magnetic closure.
Accent: none needed!
The Shelley
Flatback shaped purse in opulent red walnut. Measures appx 8" x 5" x 6". This shape hangs comfortably against the body.
Materials: red walnut base and lid, maple rims and staves, cane weaver, bone knobs and plug, ebony leather braided shoulder strap, stitched leather hinges and magnetic closure.
Accent: Whale carving
The Clair
"Binocular case" purse in classic cherry. Measures appx 8" x 6" x 3". Holds even the largest cell phone, yet still compact.

The Scarlett
Stunning black oval shoulder purse in rich ebony and cherry. Measures appx 7" x 5" x 3".

Sweet blonde clutch, perfect for semi-formal affairs. Appx 9" x 5" x 2.5". Holds your phone and wallet, with a bit of room to spare.

Oval spiral weave shoulder bag in classic cherry. Appx 8" x 6" x 3.5". Deceptively roomy.
